David Osborne is a Charleston native who has spent his entire career in the justice system. He began as a police officer in New Orleans, then returned home in 2002 to join the Charleston Police Department, where he rose to detective in the Violent Crimes Unit. While working cases by day, he put himself through the Charleston School of Law at night, earning his law degree in 2013.

He went on to serve seven years as an assistant solicitor in the Ninth Circuit, and in 2021 became Senior Litigation Counsel in the First Circuit Solicitor's Office, where he tried more than twenty murder cases to verdict.

That career gave him a complete view of how a criminal case works, from the first investigation to the closing argument. He has built cases, charged them, and tried them in front of juries. Now he uses that experience for the people on the other side.

Today David defends clients across the Lowcountry against criminal charges, from DUI and drug offenses to serious felonies, and represents people injured by someone else's negligence. He handles every case personally and prepares each one as if it is going to trial.
